Mobile app connects farmers and ranchers with qualified help in their local areas
DEWITT, IA—JUNE 3, 2021—FarmHand App, the #1 app for connecting farmers with farm help, has rebranded as FarmPost App, effective June 3rd, 2021. The rebrand coincides with the rapid market adoption and recent launch of an updated website and additional application functionality to better serve farmers, ranchers and farm workers in the U.S. Since the free mobile application was launched in late 2019, it has connected thousands of farmers with thousands of farm workers throughout the U.S.
FarmPost App was developed by Michael Schaeffer, an Iowa entrepreneur on a mission to close the technology gap in the farm employee market. With roots in farming and precision agriculture, Schaeffer understands the challenges farmers face in connecting with the rural workforce. After interviewing hundreds of farmers and ranch owners across the country, he developed FarmPost to make it easy for farmers to connect with experienced help in their local areas.
“Since we launched our app, we have continued to gather feedback from both farm owners and farm workers and implement refinements to the application, website and to the whole user experience. Re-branding as FarmPost allows us to prepare for future growth of our product to meet the needs of the changing ag landscape,” said Schaeffer. “Farming is a challenging and stressful job. I am pleased to be able to use technology to take some of the burden from farmers during their busiest times.”
The mobile app provides a convenient platform for farmers to share opportunities at their operations and easily gather applications, resumes and references from interested applicants. The farm owners can view, communicate and hire any time of day from anywhere. Applicants can easily search for opportunities by geographic location or type of job and apply right from the website or mobile app. Schaeffer and his team are working on additional functionality that will help expand the application’s usefulness throughout the farm owner / employee relationship.
