Renew Rural Iowa Program

Renew Rural Iowa (RRI) is an Iowa Farm Bureau program that reaches out to rural entrepreneurs via the "Business Success" seminar, based on Curt Nelson's Baking and Business seminar. The seminars, hosted in conjunction with regional economic development groups, will be held at various locations around the state and cover the fundamental components to building and growing a successful business:

  • Strategic Fit
  • Business Planning
  • Building and leading the optimal management team
  • Leadership and its effect on performance
  • Resources - money, technology, and facilities

Entrepreneurs who attend the seminars and meet the EDC's criteria of scalable, interstate-commerce business, are welcome to contact the EDC for subsequent mentoring assistance. The EDC will follow its new client process and will also require a signed Mentoring Services Agreement from entrepreneurs coming through RRI program. Mentoring Services Agreement fees will apply and will be discussed at the initial meeting. For more information on Renew Rural Iowa, visit www.renewruraliowa.com.
