EDC Client, Geonetric Receives Prestigious Patriot Award
Cedar Rapids, IA - February 7, 2011 - Geonetric's Den Henrickson has two jobs. On most days he's a systems engineer for the Cedar Rapids, IA-based software company. But a few times a month he can be found working at his second job as a platoon leader of the Iowa Army National Guard. Geonetric supports Henrickson by offering a flexible work schedule and supportive environment. That's why Geonetric will be honored on February 14, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. with a Patriot Award.
"In my position with the National Guard, I'm often called on to attend meetings, courses, or state emergencies on short notice," says Henrickson. "Geonetric is flexible during this time. The Patriot Award is administered by Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) and is designed to recognize employers who support a strong National Guard and Reserve force. Employers qualify for recognition when they practice leadership and personnel policies that support employee participation in the Guard and Reserve. Iowa ESGR member Mark Hennessey will be on hand at Geonetric's office to personally deliver the award to Geonetric's President and CEO Eric Engelmann during a short presentation.
