EDC Client, Geonetric, Announces Several of its Customers Recognized for Web, Mobile and Content Excellence

Cedar Rapids, IA - May 24, 2011 - EDC client, Geonetric, an online solutions provider for the healthcare industry, is pleased to announce six clients recently received awards for online excellence from three industry-recognized competitions.

All of the award-winning websites and mobile site were built on Geonetric's VitalSite content management software, which delivers customized content and functionality to site visitors.

Web Health Awards
The Web Health Awards honors high-quality consumer health information. More than 500 entries were submitted this year, and three Geonetric clients were announced as winners:

• Avera Health, Sioux Falls, SD, won a silver for interactive content
• Methodist Medical Center of Illinois, Peoria, IL, won a bronze for its mobile website
• Dean, Madison, WI, won a merit for its website

The Web Health Awards program is organized by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC), a national clearinghouse for consumer health professionals who work in consumer health education fields.

Hermes Creative Awards
Two Geonetric clients were honored with Hermes Creative Awards, which recognizes outstanding work for the concept, writing and design of traditional and merging media. Both clients won gold awards in the overall website category, which is presented to entries judged to exceed the high standards of the industry norm. Winners are:

• Genesis Health System, Davenport, IA, received a gold award in the overall website category
• Tri-City Medical Center, Oceanside, CA, received a gold award in the overall website category

Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition. Entries are judged based on concept, writing and design. Over 4,400 entries were submitted to the competition this year and Gold awards represented 19% of entries received. The awards program is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.

Aster Awards
The 2011 Aster Awards competition announced that Owensboro Medical Health System, Owensboro, KY, won a silver in the special events category for hospitals with 300-499 beds for its Get Movin' website campaign.

The Aster Awards received approximately 3,000 entries from across the United States as well as Canada and South America. Judging criteria included creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal. The Aster Awards, one of the largest competitions of its kind, is hosted by Marketing Healthcare Today and Creative Images, Inc. This elite national program recognizes outstanding healthcare professionals for excellence in their advertising and marketing efforts.
