Baptist Memorial Health Care Selects EDC Client Geonetric to Advance Online Initiatives

Cedar Rapids, IA - May 10, 2011 - Baptist Memorial Health Care (BMHC) has selected EDC client, Geonetric, an online solutions provider for the healthcare industry, to develop a consumer website and mobile site for the Memphis, TN-based health system. With 14-hospitals and a network of clinics and outpatient centers, the health system will partner with Geonetric to develop an online presence that emphasizes its nationally-known brand while maintaining the strength of its individual facilities.

"BMHC is one of the leading health care systems in the region and we need a partner that will help us maintain that leadership through our online presence," says Scott Fountain, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer at BMHC. "Geonetric has the expertise, both in terms of strategy and software, to meet the needs of a health system of our size. We are looking forward to building an online presence that reflects our brand as one of the top-performing health systems in the country."

BMHC's website will be built on the latest version of Geonetric's content management system, VitalSite 6. The VitalSite platform, designed to craft an intuitive experience for users, seamlessly integrates content, functionality and patient information. The site will incorporate interactive functionality, including a robust provider directory, appointment requests and calendar and events registration.

With 14 hospitals and numerous related healthcare organizations, the health system will also be able to effectively filter content to site visitors using Geonetric's impressive FlexFilter technology. FlexFilter allows BMHC to present information in multiple ways, showcasing all services and providers at the health system level, or allowing users to drill down to services and providers at the individual facility level.

Geonetric will also develop a mobile site for the health system which will deliver focused content and access to important information.
