The Innovation EXPO 2011 is an expanded event from years past. This year's 5th annual event will consist of a coordination of four state-wide events, to enable more fruitful connections between resources and entrepreneurs. It will culminate in a convention-like setting for celebrating our area's entrepreneurial companies and individuals.

Join Seed Here and EDC for breakfast and kick off the Iowa Innovation EXPPO with an engaging talk on "The State of The Silicon Prairie," featuring Jeff Slobotski, the Founder and Chief Community Building officer of Silicon Prairie News. Jeff will share highlights of some of our region's leading tech startup stories and emerging entrepreneurs.

The Technology Association of Iowa's (TAI) "Pitch and Grow"
10:00am to 4:00pm
16 entrepreneurs at virtually any stage of the business lifecycle will practice their pitch before a supportive "think tank" of industry experts and business savvy people and receive constructive feedback.
The Iowa Capital Investment Corporation's "Iowa Seed and Venture Forum"
1:00pm to 4:30pm
Entrepreneurs will pitch their more-developed business ideas for investments to a panel of expert Seed and Venture Fund investors from across the state and country.
The EDC's "Entrepreneur Showcase" and "Inventor's Garage"
4:30pm to 7:30pm
Entrepreneur Showcase & Inventor's Garage will feature up to 60 entrepreneurs and inventors who will showcase their businesses in a convention-like setting.
Startup Drinks #5 at EDC Entrepreneur Showcase
5:30pm to 7:00pm
Take a break from exploring the Showcase and gather around the bar with fellow entrepreneurs, innovators and creatives. Enjoy a free drink and discuss what you are working on, what you need help with and exchange advice with other entrepreneurs who have been there.
