Two EDC Clients Make Inc. 5,000 List

Inc. Magazine expanded its list of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies and has created the first-ever Inc. 5,000. According to Inc. Magazine, the Inc. 5,000 includes the Inc. 500, but digs deeper to offer the most comprehensive look at the entrepreneurial engine driving the U.S. economy.

EDC congratulates clients TMone and Geonetric for making this inaugural list at 978 and 1853 respectively. TMone, based in Iowa City, is a leading front office Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firm specializing in customer acquisition, relationship management and database marketing. Cedar Rapids based Geonetric provides innovative web tools and solutions to the growing healthcare industry.

“We’re proud of our growth, and we’re proud to be part of an increasingly thriving entrepreneurial community that is building great companies, great leaders, and great teams right here in Iowa,” said Eric Engelmann, President and CEO of Geonetric.

A total of 36 Iowa-based companies made the new, larger list with only two Iowa companies claiming spots in the top 500.

“While we’re proud of the EDC clients and other Iowa companies that made the list, Iowa has its work cut out for it,” said Curt Nelson, President and CEO of the EDC. “Clearly, if Iowa is going to work its way off the bottom when it comes to new business creation – we are going to have to add a significant number of companies to this list over the next decade,” said Curt Nelson, President and CEO of the EDC.
